Job Description

A building super is responsible for a residential building’s general maintenance. This includes handling routine maintenance, keeping the public areas within the building clean, and overseeing outside contractors’ work for major maintenance. They typically live in the building they supervise and are frequently on call to respond to tenant concerns.

Responsibilities:

• Delegate repair tasks to maintenance staff.
• Hire and supervise contractors for major renovation works.
• Handle repair works, such as fixing faulty pipes, changing locks, and painting common areas.
• Keep all maintenance costs within the allocated budget.
• Make sure every part of the building complies with safety standards and city regulations.
• Report to the building owner/project manager regarding various updates concerning the building and its tenants.
• Keep the building clean and aesthetically pleasing.
